Professional biography
A life shaped by service, culture, and hospitality.
Chef Juan Cuadra is an internationally accomplished executive chef, luxury yacht chef, hospitality consultant, entrepreneur, and proud United States Marine Corps veteran.
Born into a hardworking Nicaraguan family that immigrated to the United States during the 1980s in pursuit of the American Dream, Juan was raised in Miami alongside his sisters, Anai and Deliana. Growing up in one of the nation's largest Cuban communities immersed him in Caribbean, Latin American, and South Florida cultures that continue to shape his cooking.
Across more than two decades, his career has moved through luxury hotels, mega yachts, private estates, celebrity events, destination resorts, award-winning restaurants, and bespoke catering experiences throughout the United States and the Caribbean.

Dedicated to Rosalina
Every menu carries forward a mother's love, generosity, and devotion to family.
A legacy of family
The heart of his kitchen.
Following the passing of his beloved mother, Rosalina, Chef Juan founded Salty Chef Catering in Key West and dedicated the company to her memory. Every menu and guest experience reflects the values she instilled in him: love, family, generosity, and heartfelt hospitality.
“Honor the traditions of those who came before us, celebrate the ingredients of today, and create memories that families will cherish for generations.”
Community first
Success means serving others.
Chef Juan has volunteered with Camillus House in Miami, the SOS Foundation Callahan Community Kitchen in Key West, and the TIES Program, teaching cooking and life skills to children and young adults with special needs. He has also mentored young people through culinary camps while supporting nutrition education, hospitality mentoring, nonprofit events, and community outreach throughout South Florida and the Florida Keys.
